This little 8 track EP landed on my desk a few months ago and I can not stop listening to it. Shades of Local H, Jane's Addiction, Muse, and My Chemical Romance color it's 30:00 landscape. The band is a duo out of Sacramento CA and seem to be generating a little buzz around themselves. Unsigned at the moment, the band seem to be bent on not falling into the trappings of the current fads of popular music but adhere to a strict, no frills rock and roll policy.

I had the pleasure of announcing what might be the concert of the year for Des Moines. MGMT LIVE at People's on Court on 10/1. Pretty sweet action huh?
I talked to a couple of buddies who saw them at Lollapalooza and SXSW and they all said that MGMT is NOT TO BE MISSED. If you're nice to me, I might make your ticket dreams come true...
